Repair & Resize Info
I take pride in my work and I want you to love & wear your pieces for years to come. These pieces are built to last, but some things are out of our control. Stones are strong but not indestructible, bodies change, and accidents happen. Please find resize and repair policies/prices below, and you can always reach out with further questions.
Silver or Gold Rings (No Stone)
Within 6 months of purchase, the first resize/repair is free for metal rings.
Additional resizing:
Silver size down: $50
Gold size down: $50
Sizing up: cost estimate will be provided based on size jump
Resizing after pregnancy is free.
Stone Rings
Inlay stone rings carry challenges when resizing due to the risk of damaging the stone face.
Typically if we have more material in stock we can remake the ring in the correct size for a $50-$75 fee and exchange it.
If the stone is very unique and/or prone to heat damage, we can obtain a quote to have it resized with laser welding to prevent damage to the stone.
Inlay repair
Stone inlay repairs are unique- some require grinding out the old stone and replacing. We are happy to work with you on a repair of a Kate Taylor Design piece or your own inlay jewelry, but a consultation is required. Please email here.

Silver chain
Within 6 months of purchase, the first repair or length adjustment (under 6”) is free.
If you need an adjustment longer than 6” it will be priced at $4/inch.
Gold chain
Within 6 months of purchase, first repair or length adjustment under 6” is free.
Chain adjustments longer than 6” will be $30/inch for 14k.
18k chain is ordered custom, a quote can be provided
Clasp replacements:
Within 3 months of purchase- will consider this a defect and replace clasp for free.
After 3 months:
silver: $10
14k gold: $140
